WE VALUE OUR COMMUNITY

CC and CMS value the communities in which we work, live and conduct operations. Our Managing Director Vance Wallin is highly regarded across Cape York, for the extensive volunteer work he has undertaken. This includes deploying his team, plant and equipment to support community and not-for-profit groups and events across the region. He was recognised for his contribution, when he was awarded Citizen of the Year for the Weipa community in 2012. He inspired his leadership team and collectively they stive to provide valuable community support, commitment and engagement wherever possible, and beyond employment and training opportunities for Indigenous and non-Indigenous personnel. Recent examples of our contribution and sponsorship of various community events, include but are not limited to, Relay for Life, Weipa Bull Ride, Weipa Go Kart Racing, Weipa Fishing Classic and numerous school sporting events in the various communities.
